Rilon is a broad-spectrum insecticide containing Emamectin Benzoate 5% SG, designed to control lepidopteran pests such as bollworms, fruit borers, pod borers, diamondback moths, leaf folders, shoot borers, thrips, and mites. It acts primarily through stomach and contact action with translaminar movement, allowing it to penetrate leaf tissues and control hidden feeding larvae. Rilon quickly stops pest feeding within a few hours, causing paralysis and death within 2–4 days. It is suitable for use on cotton, chilli, cabbage, brinjal, okra, grapes, tea, chickpea, pigeon pea, tomato, and other vegetable and field crops. It is effective even against resistant pest populations and is compatible with Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs due to its relatively low impact on beneficial insects.
